Tony Marquez, professional dog trainer in Arizona for over 30 years, has developed a unique and effective system of gun dog training proven time and again on many different breeds, including Labradors, Vizslas, Setters, Brittanys, Pointing Griffons and many more. With his bird dog training techniques, your sporting dog will be able to point until released, honor or back another dog’s point, retrieve, recall or return with a whistle and learn basic obedience.
Every Arizona hunter dreams of owning the dog that goes from 10 mph to a screeching halt to slam a point. While every dog’s drive is different, yours will learn to point and hold it until released for the retrieve. Backing (honoring) is a fundamental skill that all hunting dogs should have, and we will teach this necessary skill to keep your dog from bumping birds and breaking points of other dogs. Retrieving comes naturally for some breeds, but Tony’s techniques can teach any hunting dog to retrieve.
We understand that your sporting dog does not carry that label alone but is also a pet, best friend, and most importantly a family member.
